Frome FM: Dirty Rivers

Monday, September 22 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm

sewage farm

For the next 3 months our monthly radio show on Frome.FM, we will be featuring a series of podcasts about rivers. Seen through the lens of the River Tone that flows through Taunton, each podcast episode is a riverside conversation with someone who has a specific personal or professional relationship to water and the river, building a broad base of knowledge from many distinctive perspectives.

Dirty Rivers

Focused on river pollution, the first episode looks at sewage, farming, pharmaceuticals and chemicals, discusses solutions and pays special attention to otters.
It features extracts from Feral Practice’s interviews with:

  • Matt Wheeldon of Wessex Water,
  • Helen Wakeham of the Environment Agency,
  • Gideon Amos MP,
  • Dr Liz Chadwick of the Cardiff Otter Project,
  • Jo Pearse of the Somerset Otter Group,
  • Neil Ogilvie of Somerset Council
  • Joanna Uglow of the Somerset Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group.
