DESCRIPTION:A Food & Health Conversation\nWe know that what we eat affects our health\, our communities and the environment. Join us for a vibrant evening of conversation. \nHow can what’s on our plate infuse our world and our own health? In a time of rising chronic illness\, pressure on the NHS and a rapidly changing climate\, the link between what we eat and how we feel has never been more urgent. Our food choices affect not only our bodies but also our communities and the health of the planet. \nThat’s why we’re coming together for an evening of insight\, inspiration and open conversation at Frome Medical Practice. \nWe’ll hear from an expert panel—Dr Helen Kingston (Frome Medical Practice)\, Lesley Harper (Somerset NHS Integrated Care Board)\, Tasha Stevens-Vallecillo (Land Food Medicine)\, and Hugh Thomas (Frome Food Network)—hosted by Charlotte Carson (Frome Medical Practice) to explore the powerful connection between food\, health and environment. We’ll open up to general conversation and exchange after the panel have spoken around the subject. \nExpect fresh perspectives\, thoughtful discussion and rich takeaways. Stick around after the talks for free nibbles and a chance to connect with others\, share ideas\, and keep the conversation going. \nSpaces are limited—reserve your spot early! \nLayout of the evening \nFrome Medical Practice – Upstairs Boardroom (make your way straight upstairs) \nDoors open 5.45pm\nTalks start 6pm – 7.30pm\nNibbles 7.30\nEvent ends 8pm \nThis event will take place in the upstairs Boardroom\, accessible by stairs or public lift.\nPlease make your way straight upstairs and sign in on the door rather than going to the Medical Centre reception.\nPlease note that this event will be audio recorded for use on local radio and our project websites. \nThis event is hosted by Frome Medical Practice in partnership with Future Shed and Sustainable Frome. It is part of Green & Healthy Frome\, a partnership programme of Edventure Frome\, Frome Medical Practice and Frome Town Council taking action on health and climate funded by the National Lottery’s Climate Action Fund. \n
