SUMMARY:Saxonvale: Initial development proposals
DESCRIPTION:Following a successful public consultation last month\, Acorn Property Group will present the initial development proposals for the regeneration of the Saxonvale site in Frome. \nMore than 600 people attended the first consultation to give their views and aspirations for the 10-acre former industrial site which has helped shape the development plans. \nThe second consultation will be held on the 15th and 16th February at The Silk Mill in Frome\, after which Acorn will work with Nash architects to finalise plans for the site with a view to submitting a planning application in spring 2019. \nRobin Squire\, Regional Managing Director at Acorn’s Bristol office commented\, “Hearing from such a large number and wide variety of local residents and stakeholders has been hugely useful. We’d like to thank all those who came along in January to let us know what they’d like to see delivered at Saxonvale. The comments have helped us design our initial proposals and we are looking forward to further discussing the future of this important town centre site.” \nFriday 15 February 2pm-7pm and Saturday 16 February 10am-3pm

SUMMARY:Saxonvale public consultation
DESCRIPTION:This is the official public consultation on the the future development of the Saxonvale site\, at the invitation of the Acorn Property Group who are the main developers involved.  \nFriday 11 January 2-7pm\nSaturday 12 January 10am-3pm \nYou can view the plans here \nAcorn say: \nWe are very mindful of the site’s history and the community’s desire to see a high quality mixed-use development. With the intention to submit a planning application in spring 2019\, we are keen to discuss aspirations for the site and its opportunities and challenges\, before working up development proposals in more detail. \nWe look forward to meeting you. \nThe events are being publicised through leaflets delivered to households and businesses in a broad area around the site and through media publicity.  At this stage the focus is on opportunities\, challenges and the principles that should guide the design stage that will follow. Further consultation will then be held once proposals for the site have been drawn up.

She is also the founder of womanfest which saw the UK’s first ever woman only festival held in the UK near Frome in Summer 2018. Tiana spent a year as a volunteer in the Calais jungle migrant camp\, before building a hut in a Somerset woodland as a place of sanctuary and getting back to basics. She now works full time at the Extinction Rebellion HQ in London. \nThe Rye Bakery will be providing us with their delicious pizzas\, included in the ticket price of £6. \nTickets (limited number only) from: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/talk-with-tiana-jacout-tickets-54282640840
