DESCRIPTION:Many people would like to make their homes more green and energy efficient but don’t know where to start and worry about the cost. In Frome we can get advice through the Healthy Homes project and finance is available through Lendology – and energy efficiency can pay for itself\, especially now energy prices are so high. \nTom McGauran from Retrofit Bruton and Cary will tell us how the retrofit advice service works there. \nShannon Nutkins from Lendology will give a short presentation on how Lendology provides loans to private homeowners to help more people transition to renewable energy. \nBoth speakers will be available to answer any questions. \nJoin us at the Good Heart for shared food from 7pm. DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to a free evening of food and socialising\, open to anyone involved in Frome’s environment and climate groups: the Climate Action Group\, Sustainable Frome\, Future Shed\, Frome Families for the Future\, and Green Community Connectors. \nThe meet-up will offer a chance to relax and celebrate the achievements of the past 12 months\, and look forward to 2023 and how all our groups can work together on green projects. \nFrom the annual Seed Swap and Potato Day\, another successful Great Big Green Week\, to the creation of the Frome Textile Network\, the amazing work of the Wild Bunch in wilding gardens\, and a successful climate and health conference in Frome- there is a lot to celebrate and look back on over the past year. DESCRIPTION:It is estimated that every household is hoarding 5 or more pieces of IT\, from old smartphones\, laptops\, PCs to tablets\, they’re sitting gathering dust\, but many are still viable pieces of tech which could be repurposed for someone who needs it. DonateIT\, supported by Frome Medical Practice (Health Connections team) and Frome Town Council\, are running a Tech Amnesty on Saturday 3rd December from 10am – 1pm in the car park of the Town Hall. They are asking residents and businesses to pop by with their unused tech so it can be repurposed to find a new home. \nMore details here
